ProtoPlus Precision

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île has granted a $150,000 loan from the Fonds PME MTL to ProtoPlus Precision (PPP), a company situated in Lachine.

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île also worked closely with PPP to help speed up the process of acquiring additional financing of $202,000 from BDC. These funds will be used to complete the financial structure for their expansion, as well as for investment in a secondary operation, a powder-coating paint facility located in nearby Dorval. Expert advice was also provided by our (Export Montréal Ouest) EXMO services in their quest to increase export to the United States.

Lastly, PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île assisted PPP in the recruitment of new personnel as a result of their expansion, through our new job placement service. Our team approach in accompanying them in every aspect of their expansion made it feasible and achievable.

Alopex

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île has granted a $100,000 loan from the Fonds PME MTL to Alopex Technologies, a company situated in Kirkland, which develops, manufactures and markets asset tracking and monitoring solutions to manage and protect fleet of vehicles, trailers, containers, pallets and transported merchandise.

Established in 2013, Alopex’s tracking and monitoring technology is innovative and the most advanced and sophisticated GPS tracker in the market today. All their platforms are web-based and accessible by any Internet device including all Smart Phones - no software installation is required.

M3 Touch

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île has granted a $150,000 loan from the Fonds PME MTL to M3 Touch, a company located in Dorval.

Founded in 2009, M3 Touch manufacturers and markets NetSpot™, a hardware and software management platform for iPads and Notebook PCs. The company is proud to have obtained an important contract with the American Armed Forces. These funds will help M3 Touch to drive its expansion towards Europe.

Vertal

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île has granted a $100,000 loan from the Fonds PME MTL to Vertal Inc., a company situated in Dorval.

Vertal manufactures and distributes composters that change food waste into a valuable resource. Since 2008, Vertal composter distribution mission extended to USA and Canada.

In 2014, Vertal introduced its locally designed and manufactured CITYPOD composters. With numerous new patent pending features, the CITYPOD composters are perfectly adapted to urban eco-responsible food waste composting. The financial aid it received will help in the launching and marketing of the CITYPOD composters.

AJOI

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île is proud to remit a grant of $6,800 from the Social Economy fund to Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest-de-l'Île (AJOI).

These funds will cover 80% of costs towards an opportunity study for the project AJOI Hébergement (AJOIH).

A first in the Ouest-de-l'Île, AJOIH will provide a temporary emergency shelter (72 hours) for young adults from 17 to 30 years old facing a crisis situation.

 AJOI is a social services organization that establishes and maintains street worker intervention services for youth aged 12 to 25 years old on the Ouest-de-l'Île. It aims to improve the quality of life of young people and break the denial of poverty in the Ouest-de-l'Île by offering these services: workshops, help with job search, family mediation, housing research, street work/youth work, crisis intervention, prostitution, runaways, mental health and others.

D-Trois Pierres

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île has remitted a grant of $50,000 from the Social Economy Development Fund (FDÉS) to D-Trois Pierres.

In existence since 1986, D-Trois Pierres is a social insertion organization that manages the Cap St-Jacques ecological farm situated in the Ouest-de-l'Île of Montreal. It offers young adults a work experience favouring their integration to the work force based on a realistic work experience. This funding will help in the development of 25 hectares of agricultural land and will enable D-Trois Pierres to become a major producer of garlic in Québec.

Salle Pauline Julien

PME MTL Ouest-de-l'Île has remitted a grant of $4,600 from the Social Economy Development Fund (FDÉS) to Salle Pauline-Julien.

This financial aid will be used to optimize opportunities provided by the Internet by revamping their website and expanding their outreach.

Salle Pauline-Julien (SPJ) offers an annual programme of professional shows in all aspects of the performing arts (theatre, music, cinema and dance). A francophone cultural venue, the SPJ is widely known by the Ouest-de-l'Île community for its active contribution to quality of life.
