Eight of the ten winners of the Accolades competition received the support of PME MTL-Ouest-de-l’Île!
On June 9, the 35th edition of the Accolades Gala was held. Organized by the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce, it recognizes excellence in the West Island business community.
PME MTL Ouest-de-l’Île is proud to have contributed to the success of eight of the ten winners, through financing or its support services. Its close collaboration with the Chamber, as well as the very strong ties between the business community and the residents of the territory, is clearly bearing fruit.
The theme of the event, held at the Montreal Airport Marriott Hotel, was "Back to the Future," a nod to the hope for a return to normal after more than two years of the pandemic. Joseph Huza, President and Executive Director of the Chamber, said that “Chamber members have navigated through uncertain and challenging circumstances […] and have shown incredible resilience over the past couple of years. There now seems to be a collective sense that […] we are ready to get back to business and forge ahead towards a brighter tomorrow."
Nathalie Robitaille, Executive Director of PME MTL Ouest-de-l’Île, said: “PME MTL Ouest-de-l’Île is proud to sponsor the High Technology and Innovation category. A healthy economy requires a balance between traditional industries and industries of the future. That’s why we’re happy to showcase the West-Island IT companies with which we are particularly involved to ensure that innovation continues to propel the territory's economy."

“PME MTL has enabled our company to develop and grow. The research and pre-commercialization phase is undeniably the pivotal period for any business, and very few investors want to support projects that have not yet proven themselves. Without its financial and professional support, we would not have made the strategic pivots at crucial times. Our success today is a reflection of their help in our early days.” – Alexandre Turbide, co-founder

“The support we received from PME MTL in the form of real estate consultations played a critical role in our establishing our 10,000 square foot R&D facility in the West Island. We’ve been calling Lachine home now for two years and this fall, we’re excited to be expanding our footprint to include the neighbouring property. Recognition for the work we are doing to reduce embodied carbon in construction is, of course, always appreciated, but it is particularly meaningful when it comes from the local community to which we belong.” – Yuri Mytko, Chief Marketing Officer
