For another year, the Ville de Montréal and PME MTL are joining forces to propel Montreal's agri-food innovation onto the international stage. A delegation of 9 promising agri-food start-ups specializing in consumer products and technologies will be present at the Salon International de l'Alimentation (SIAL) Canada 2025, to be held in Toronto from April 29 to May 1.
The aim of this strategic initiative is to give these innovative companies their first experience of SIAL, enabling them to develop new markets and promote their products nationally and internationally.
Tailor-made support to maximize benefits
Selected companies will benefit from financial support from the Ville de Montréal to reduce their participation costs, as well as personalized coaching from Ada Panduro, expert in bio-food innovation, PME MTL.
"SIAL represents an exceptional opportunity for our young Montreal companies to stand out, meet strategic partners and develop their business network, says Ada Panduro. Our aim is to prepare them effectively so that they can derive maximum benefit from their participation."
Companies in the delegation:
• Aliments Green Brothers
• BioEureka
• Brasserie San-Ô
• Bopaq
• Chien Gourmand
• Nasdrow
• Oplante/Bonbon Collections
• Paella Marisol
• Seed Me
The delegation will be joined by the three winners of the SIAL 2024 Startup - Pitch Competition who were part of the previous City of Montreal cohort: Epic Tofu, Dunord and Maison Théier.
A jump-start to international success
Building on the success of the 2024 edition, where companies supported by PME MTL took the top three places in the prestigious SIAL pitch competition, the 2025 program promises to be a real gas pedal for the selected companies.
This trade mission is in line with the Ville de Montréal's and PME MTL's commitment to actively support Montreal's entrepreneurial ecosystem, particularly in the strategic biofood sector.
