Marie-Ève Cadieux
Project Manager, Local Economic Development
With more than 20 years of experience in local economic development, Marie-Ève has built her career around Montreal’s entrepreneurial and commercial challenges. Her experience at the Société de développement commercial de l’Avenue du Mont-Royal, PME MTL Centre-Ville, and the arrondissement de Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie has allowed her to develop in-depth knowledge of the field and to build an extensive network of partners within Montréal’s economic ecosystem.
Building connections is probably what comes most naturally to her. She thrives on reaching out to people, understanding their realities, connecting the right individuals, and facilitating the exchange of ideas to launch and advance transformative projects.
Her career path has given her insight into various facets of local economic development: the day-to-day realities of business owners on a commercial thoroughfare, entrepreneurial mentoring, support programs, and the various levers for action within the community.
“For me, economic development starts with people. I particularly enjoy projects that require listening, bringing together multiple stakeholders, simplifying complex issues, and transforming on-the-ground needs into concrete, innovative, and sustainable solutions.”
